Our Beats and Beyond

Batala Mundo comes together in London for rehearsals, a packed Camden gig and Notting Hill Carnival, celebrating rhythm, friendship, community and the spirit of One Love, One Drum.

Nicole first discovered Batala London at Notting Hill Carnival. Years later, she joined the band, learned the Dobra and experienced her first Carnival as a Batala drummer.

From first rehearsal to Notting Hill Carnival, David shares his first year with Batala London. A story of friendship, learning Brazilian samba-reggae drumming, and stepping outside your comfort zone.
